I lost my grandmother *** couple years back and it just kind of gave me that feeling all over again of um just the, I don’t know, sincere uh nostalgic kind of uh, you know, I don’t know, it just, it was just *** great feeling. What started out as a normal day for a Tennessee police officer led to a moment that was captured on video and went viral.Lance Hofmeister, an officer in Murfreesboro, said he was on patrol when he noticed an older woman walking down a highway using her walker.When he checked on her, he found out that 84-year-old Elizabeth Goode had taken a bus from Nashville for a hair appointment at a nearby Paul Mitchell salon.Hofmeister offered Goode a ride and said their conversation brought back memories of a loved one. “I lost my grandmother a couple of years back and it just gave me that feeling all over again of just the sincere nostalgic, it was a great feeling,” Hofmeister told WSMV. Goode was able to get her perm as planned, while Hofmeister said he gained an experience he’ll never forget. “It was definitely a sweet moment and I’ll always remember it,” he said.
